Our customer in Bitterne needed some help turning an old garden workshop into a beautiful massage studio.

Before

We were initially contacted by our customer who was looking to convert their garden workshop into a studio for his wife’s massage therapy business. The existing structure was built out of blocks with a slate roof and required two tunnels to bring light in from above. The project also required access to the loft storage area, insulation, plumbing, heating and lighting throughout.

During

We set to work creating the light tunnels using VELUX windows, installed timber studwork to the walls, then insulated and boarded the walls and ceiling areas. Electrical alterations were carried out to allow for downlights, whilst a new floating floor was created, complete with skirting throughout. Brand new front and patio doors were also installed to complement the existing property.

After

The results speak for themselves. Our customer loves her new studio and couldn’t be happier with it! The room has been painted in light, airy colours with a blue nautical theme to complement the cool, calm feel to the decor. Clients visiting the studio will be comfortable thanks to the new smart panel heaters and the high-quality insulation underneath the laminate flooring, which were all installed to control the temperature of the room. What was once a cold empty workshop is now a warm and inviting studio environment, perfect for that much-needed massage.
